TV worked great right out of the box,scanned my OTA channels and the TV did not find all my local channels and the ones it found had picture problems. My other HDTV gets these channels with no problems from the same antenna. No need for calibration disc when you use the built in picture wizard to fine tune the picture. Very good picture from blue ray and digital cable the SD picure is mediocre. Don't buy this TV for antenna use, you need Cable or Sattelite. The HDMI link between the TV and Blue-Ray players lets you use the TV remote for both units. Good angle viewing and decent speakers
